Activity
This 12-mile cycle ride takes in River Thames, Chiswick House and the Bedford Park Festival. From Tide Tables we follow the Thames through Brentford riverside and Strand on the Green. We then reach Chiswick House and its Palladian splendour. Time to explore the gardens before we cycle to Bedford Park Festival. Green Days village fete with live music, environmental and craft shows, food stalls. Green day theme will feature cycle displays and lots of future transport ideas. Bedford Park is the finest example of the garden suburb movement, extolled by Betjeman with many examples of works of Norman Shaw and Voysey. Route back to start via Richmond Park. Ride suitable for all cycles, no hills on route.
