Activity
Leisurely 5-mile walk around the grounds, greenhouses and other buildings of beautiful Kew Gardens and Kew village. Walk organiser will lead the walk and explain the history of the botanic gardens, which contain the largest collection of living plants in the world. We will stroll along a treetop walkway 18m above ground, and discover fascinating exotic plants, as well as 'daily staples', like tea, coffee and cocoa. We'll also visit Queen Charlotte's cottage, a Japanese gateway and country house, and an art gallery of botanical paintings. This walk coincides with the Orchid Festival, a magnificent display of thousands of orchids in one of the greenhouses; this year's theme will be the Amazon region. Please book online in advance to avoid queuing at the gate.
